ABOUT US
Color The Sky ("CTS") is a volunteering organization founded in December 2021 by a group of middle and high school youth artists. We are motivated to channel our artistic talents and skills into great artwork to support our community through the design and painting of ceiling tiles for kidney disease patients who endure a long dialysis treatment every week. By taking white, bleak ceiling tiles in dialysis centers and turning them into paintings made by artists in art styles, our organization aims to spread positivity and artistic expression throughout the healthcare community.
We have established a great team of more than 100 volunteers from various school districts across the Greater Houston area and successfully delivered two tile projects at local healthcare clinics. Our officers and volunteers participated in setting up the tiles in the clinics. Their artworks and volunteering services were complimented by clinic staff and patients. We are highly encouraged by the positive feedback from the clinic staff and patients and are enthusiastic about our continuous contribution to our community!
MISSION STATEMENT
With the healing power of art, we help dialysis patients fight against organ failure and kidney disease. We aim to bring hope and inspiration to the lives of many dialysis patients through the efforts of our talented youth artist volunteers. We believe that no person should be denied artistic expression and representation, and we hope that our program will reach into the hearts of many and create a more colorful sky for our dialysis community.
